Drive new leads and sales by running Meta (Facebook & Instagram) ad campaigns that connect directly to your WellnessLiving booking and purchasing tools. This article walks you through the entire process, from setting up your offer in WellnessLiving to creating your ad in Meta to tracking results and following up with new leads automatically.
How it works
Running a successful Meta ad campaign with WellnessLiving involves five stages:
Prepare your offer – Create the Purchase Option, service, or lead capture form in WellnessLiving that your ad will promote.
Set up your landing destination – Choose between sending traffic to a Meta lead form, embedding a WellnessLiving widget on your own landing page, or using a WellnessLiving direct Buy/Book URL as your ad destination.
Generate your tracking link – Create a URL with UTM parameters so you can track which sales and bookings came from your ad.
Create and launch your ad in Meta – Build your ad campaign in Meta Ads Manager.
Track results and follow up – Monitor performance in WellnessLiving's Marketing Campaigns Report and use Marketing automations to nurture new leads.
Prerequisites: Enable guest access
Before launching any ad campaign, configure your WellnessLiving account so that new visitors from your ads can complete a purchase or booking without needing to create a login first. This reduces friction and improves conversion rates.
Enable guest checkout (for purchase-based campaigns)
To enable guest checkout:
Open the App Drawer
then click View All > Setup > Store Configuration > Purchase Options.Enable the Guest Checkout option.
Click Save.
This allows ad traffic to purchase your introductory offer without creating a WellnessLiving account first. Their contact information is captured at checkout.
Enable guest booking (for booking-based campaigns)
To enable guest booking:
Open the App Drawer
then click View All > Setup > Business > Business Policies.Under booking settings, make sure clients are not required to sign in to book.
Click Save.
This allows ad traffic to book a consultation or service without creating an account first.
Stage 1: Prepare your offer in WellnessLiving
Before creating your ad, decide what you're promoting. The most common Meta ad goals for wellness businesses are:
Sell an introductory offer – a discounted session pass designed to attract first-time clients (for example, "3 Classes for $29").
Book a free consultation – drive leads to book an appointment with your team (for example, "Book Your Free Fitness Assessment").
First class free.
Lead magnet (content-driven).
Capture a lead – collect contact information from prospects, then follow up with automations.
Option A: Create an introductory Purchase Option
The best Purchase Option type for an introductory offer is a session pass. It can be time-based (for example, "Unlimited Classes for 7 Days — $29") or visit-based (for example, "3 Classes for $29"). Session passes give new clients a taste of your services with a clear expiration, which creates natural urgency to convert to a full membership.
To create your introductory session pass:
Open the App Drawer
then click View All > Setup > Store Configuration > Purchase Options.
Click Create Session Pass.
Under Purchase Option Service Category, select the type of services the pass covers (for example, Classes).
Enter a clear, compelling name that will appeal to new clients (for example, "New Client Intro — 3 Classes for $29").
Set the price to your introductory rate.
Under Attendance Restrictions, configure whether it's visit-based (set a number of visits) or time-based (set an expiration period).
Set the Intro Offer option to ON. This limits the Purchase Option to first-time purchases only. A client who has already bought this item or has an active membership won't be able to purchase it again.
Under Advanced Settings, consider setting:
An expiration date for the offer itself (for example, only available until a certain date) to create campaign urgency.
Online Store visibility to ON so it appears in the Store Widget.
Click Save.
Option B: Create a bookable consultation appointment
If your goal is to get prospects to book a free consultation, create a consultation appointment:
Open the App Drawer
then click View All > Setup > Services > Appointments.
Click Add Category if you don't already have a consultation category, then click Add Service.
Enter the service name (for example, "Free Fitness Assessment — 30 min").
Set the price to $0.00.
Set the duration to the appropriate length (for example, 30 minutes).
Under Staff, disable the staff selection requirement so that the system auto-assigns based on availability. This simplifies the booking experience for cold traffic who won't know which staff member to pick.
Click Save.
After creating the appointment, ensure at least one staff member has availability configured for this service. To configure staff availability:
Open the App Drawer
then click View All > Setup > Staff > Staff Members.
Select the staff member who will handle consultations.
Click Working Hours and ensure they have available time slots configured that cover the times you want consultations to be bookable.
Option C: Capture leads
If you want to collect contact information from prospects before requiring a booking or purchase, you have two paths. Pick the one that matches how you want your ad to behave.
Path 1: Meta Instant Forms with Zapier (lead form lives on Facebook and Instagram)
Meta Instant Forms keep prospects on Facebook or Instagram to fill out the form. They never leave the platform. Submitted leads then flow into WellnessLiving as new lead profiles via Zapier. This path tends to produce the highest form completion rates because there's no extra page load and Meta pre-fills the name, email, and phone from the user's profile.
To set up Meta Instant Forms with Zapier:
Open the App Drawer
then click View All > Setup > Web Applications. Locate your API credentials; you'll need these to connect Zapier.
Create your lead form in Meta Ads Manager when you build your ad in Stage 4. Choose the Leads objective and select Instant Form as the conversion location.
In Zapier, create a new Zap with Facebook Lead Ads as the trigger and New Lead as the trigger event. Connect your Facebook account, select your Page, and select the lead form you created.
Add WellnessLiving as the action app and select Create Lead Profile as the action.
Map the Meta lead fields (first name, last name, email, phone) to the corresponding WellnessLiving fields.
Set the Lead Source field to a unique name for this campaign (for example, "Facebook Lead Ad — Spring 2026 Intro"). You'll use this to filter follow-up automations.
Test the Zap and turn it on.
For complete setup instructions, see Capture leads from Facebook and Instagram Lead Ads.
Path 2: WellnessLiving Lead Capture Widget (lead form lives on your website)
The WellnessLiving Lead Capture Widget is a form you can embed on your own landing page or share as a direct URL. Use this path if you want full control over the page experience around your form, or if you don't want to use Zapier. Leads flow directly into WellnessLiving with no third-party tools.
To set up the Lead Capture Widget:
Open the App Drawer
then click View All > Setup > Website Widgets > Lead Capture.
Create or select a Lead Capture Widget skin.
Configure the fields you want to collect (name, email, phone, and so on).
Click Save.
Choosing between the two paths
Use Meta Instant Forms and Zapier if… | Use the Lead Capture Widget if… |
|---|---|
You want the highest form completion rate (no page load, fields pre-filled). | You want full design control over the page (custom headline, testimonials, photos). |
You don't have a landing page on your website. | You already have a landing page, or you want one. |
You're comfortable using Zapier and have a paid Zapier plan. | You want a setup with no third-party tools. |
You want to take advantage of Meta's lead-form ad placements. | You want to drive traffic to your own website at the same time. |
Stage 2: Set up your landing destination
Your Meta ad needs to send traffic somewhere. With WellnessLiving, you have three approaches depending on what you're promoting.
Approach 1: Use a direct Buy or direct Book URL (recommended for purchases and bookings)
WellnessLiving can generate a direct URL that takes the visitor straight to checkout for a specific Purchase Option, or straight to booking for a specific service. This is the simplest approach. You don't need to build a landing page, and the visitor goes directly to the action.
For purchases (intro offers), get a Direct Buy Link:
Open the App Drawer
then click View All > Setup > Store Configuration > Purchase Options.Find the intro offer you created in Stage 1.
Click Action and select the option to copy the Direct Buy Link.
Save this URL. You'll use it in your ad.
For bookings (consultations), get a Direct Book Link:
Open the App Drawer
then click View All > Setup > Services > Appointments.Find the consultation service you created.
Click Action and select the option to copy the Direct Book Link.
Save this URL. You'll use it in your ad.
Approach 2: Embed a widget on your own landing page
If you want full control over the landing page experience, you can embed a WellnessLiving widget on a dedicated page on your website.
For purchases, embed the Store Widget:
Open the App Drawer
then click View All > Setup > Website Widgets > Store.Click the Embed Code tab and copy the iframe code.
Embed the widget on a dedicated landing page on your website.
For bookings, embed the Appointment Widget:
Open the App Drawer
then click View All > Setup > Website Widgets > Appointment.Click the Embed Code tab and copy the iframe code.
Embed the widget on a dedicated landing page.
For lead capture, embed the Lead Capture Widget:
Open the App Drawer
then click View All > Setup > Website Widgets > Lead Capture.Select the skin you created in Stage 1.
Click Embed Code and copy the iframe code.
Embed the widget on a dedicated landing page.
Approach 3: Use a Meta Instant Form (lead capture only)
If you set up the Facebook Lead Ads and Zapier path in Stage 1, your ad's destination is the Meta Instant Form itself. You don't need a landing page or a WellnessLiving URL. The ad's call-to-action button opens the form on Facebook or Instagram, and submitted leads flow into WellnessLiving via Zapier.
Stage 3: Generate your tracking link with UTM parameters
To track which sales and bookings came from your Facebook ad, you'll add UTM parameters to your landing page URL or Direct Buy/Book URL. UTM parameters are short tags you add to the end of a URL that tell your analytics tools where a visitor came from.
A properly tagged URL looks like this:
https://yoursite.com/intro-offer?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=paid_social&utm_campaign=intro_offer_spring2026
Or for a Direct Buy URL:
https://www.wellnessliving.com/rs/buy/[your-business-path]?id_purchase_option=123&utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=paid_social&utm_campaign=intro_offer_spring2026
You can build your tagged URL using Google's Campaign URL Builder.
Recommended UTM values:
Parameter | Recommended value | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
utm_source | Identifies the platform | |
utm_medium | paid_social | Identifies the channel type |
utm_campaign | intro_offer_spring2026 | Your campaign name (use underscores, no spaces) |
utm_content | video_ad_v1 | Optional: distinguishes between ad creatives |
Stage 4: Create and launch your ad in Meta Ads Manager
With your offer live and your tracking link ready, head to Meta Ads Manager to create your campaign.
4.1: Set your campaign objective
To create a campaign:
Go to adsmanager.facebook.com and click + Create.
Choose your campaign objective based on your goal:
Leads – Best if you're using the Meta Instant Form path. Choose Instant Form as the conversion location.
Sales – Best if your goal is purchases.
Traffic – Best if your primary goal is driving visitors to your widget or landing page.
Engagement – Best for brand awareness and video views.
4.2: Define your audience
Under Ad Set, configure your target audience. For local wellness businesses, consider:
Location: Target a radius around your business (for example, 10 to 15 miles).
Age and interests: Target demographics that match your ideal client (for example, ages 25 to 45 with interests in fitness, yoga, or wellness).
Custom audiences: Upload a client list from WellnessLiving to create a Lookalike Audience in Meta. This targets people similar to your existing clients.
4.3: Set your budget and schedule
Set a daily or lifetime budget for your campaign. For local wellness businesses, a daily budget of $10 to $30 USD is a good starting point for testing. Choose your campaign start and end dates.
4.4: Build your ad creative
Under the Ad level, create your ad:
Ad format: Single image, carousel, or video. Video tends to perform best for wellness businesses.
Primary text: Write a compelling headline and description that highlights the value of your offer (for example, "Try 3 Classes for Just $29 — New Clients Only!").
Call to action: Use "Book Now," "Sign Up," or "Get Offer."
Destination:
If you're using the Meta Instant Form path, attach the lead form you created.
If you're using a Direct Buy/Book URL or a landing page, paste the UTM-tagged link from Stage 3.
Click Publish to launch your campaign.
Stage 5: Track results and follow up
Once your ad is live, monitor results in both Meta Ads Manager and WellnessLiving.
5.1: Monitor ad performance in Meta
In Meta Ads Manager, track key metrics including impressions, clicks, click-through rate, cost per click, and cost per result. These tell you how well your ad is driving traffic and capturing leads.
5.2: Track conversions in WellnessLiving
This is where you measure what actually happened after someone clicked your ad. Did they buy, book, or sign up? Use the following reports to track outcomes during your campaign:
New client registrations: Open the App Drawer
then click View All > Reports > Client > All Clients. Filter by registration date to see new sign-ups during your campaign period.
Sales of the promoted offer: Open the App Drawer
then click View All > Reports > Sales > All Sales. Filter by the Purchase Option name and date range to see how many were sold.
Consultation bookings: Open the App Drawer
then click View All > Reports > Attendance. Filter by the consultation service to see how many were booked during the campaign.
Leads captured: Open the App Drawer
then click View All > Reports > Client > Leads. Filter by the Lead Source assigned to your campaign to isolate leads from this specific Facebook campaign.
Marketing Campaigns Report: Open the App Drawer
then click View All > Reports > Marketing > Marketing Campaigns to view email open rates, click-throughs, and delivery metrics for any follow-up automations.
5.3: Set up follow-up automations in Marketing Suite
Use Marketing Suite automations to automatically follow up with new leads and clients who came from your ad campaign. The general flow is: go to Marketing Suite, click Automations, select a trigger, configure the audience and filters, build your email and SMS content using a pre-built template or Isaac AI, and set the send timing.
Lead campaigns: Trigger automations by Lead Source
If you used either the Meta Instant Form and Zapier path or the Lead Capture Widget path, you can target follow-up automations specifically to leads from that campaign using the Lead Source field.
To set up a Lead Source automation:
Confirm the Lead Source for your campaign (the Lead Capture Widget skin name, or the Lead Source value you set in your Zap).
In Marketing Suite, create an automation with the Lead Created trigger.
Filter the trigger by the Lead Source that matches your campaign.
Build your follow-up sequence (for example, welcome email, reminder, then offer).
This ensures only leads from your Facebook ad campaign enter the automation.
