When a membership with guest passes is transferred from one client to another, the new owner inherits the remaining guest passes for the current billing cycle. The original owner's guest pass history stays on their profile and is not affected.
What happens to pending invites
Any guest pass invitations that the original owner sent but haven't been redeemed yet are canceled immediately when the transfer goes through. If a guest clicks one of those invitation links after the transfer, they'll see an error saying the invitation has expired.
For example, if the original owner sent three invitations that were still waiting to be redeemed, all three are canceled the moment the transfer is completed.
How many guest passes the new owner gets
The new owner receives the guest passes that were left over from the current billing cycle. For example, if the membership includes 5 guest passes per cycle and the original owner used 2, the new owner gets 3.
The new owner starts with no sent or pending invitations; their count starts at zero. The billing cycle reset date doesn't change due to the transfer.
If the membership has Unlimited guest passes, the new owner also has unlimited guest passes. Any pending invitations are still canceled.
Daily guest visit cap
If the membership limits how many guest passes a member can use per day, that limit resets for the new owner when the transfer happens. Even if the original owner already hit their daily limit earlier that day, the new owner gets a fresh limit for the rest of the day.
Guest pass history and privacy
The new owner can't see any of the original owner's guest pass activity. Their guest pass history starts empty, and no guest names from the original owner's invitations appear anywhere on the new owner's profile.
The original owner's history is preserved on their own profile. Their Guest Pass History page continues to show all invitations they sent, redemptions, and canceled invitations. If a guest redeemed the original owner's pass before the transfer, that guest's record still shows the original owner as the person who invited them.
Invitation limits per guest
Some memberships limit how many times the same guest can be invited by the same member. After a transfer, those limits reset for the new owner — they can invite any guest up to the configured limit, regardless of whether that guest was previously invited by the original owner. The new owner isn't informed of any prior guest pass activity tied to the membership.
The original owner's invitation history is preserved on their own profile.
