Understanding client types
Client types allow you to easily categorize, organize, and manage your clients. WellnessLiving has default client types and you can also create your own.
Each client type has an assigned icon that appears next to client listings and in client profiles.
Default client types are assigned to clients when they buy a Purchase Option and change based on whether their Purchase Options are active or expired. For example, when a client purchases a membership, the system automatically assigns the Active Member client type to their profile.
Default client types
Active Pass Holder – Clients with time-based or session-based passes.
Inactive Pass Holder – Clients with expired time-based or session-based passes.
Active Member – Clients with active memberships.
Inactive Member – Clients with expired memberships.
Prospect – Clients without any passes or memberships.

Key tips
Assigning client types
A new client is set to Prospect until they buy a pass or membership.
Clients eligible for multiple types will be assigned the type with the highest priority. Clients are assigned one client type at a time and are assigned the highest priority client type when eligible for multiple types.
Client Type and Member Type settings of a Purchase Option are updated automatically if the Purchase Option’s settings remain unmodified. Modifying a Purchase Option that has already been sold will disable automatic updates.
When all passes and memberships expire, the client type switches to Inactive Pass Holder or Inactive Member.
