Set an age restriction for a service

You can set age restrictions for services to ensure only eligible clients can book.

Key tips

  • Clients must meet the age requirement at the time the service occurs. For example, a client turning 18 the day before an 18+ service can book and attend.

  • You can set age restrictions using years and months together. For example, a child must be between 1 year and 1 year 6 months old to attend a Mommy and Me class. Contact WellnessLiving Support to turn this on for your business.

    • If you turn this off later, any months you've already entered are saved and come back if you turn it back on.

  • The date of birth client profile field is required to book age restricted services. This also applies to client relationships.

  • Staff members can override age restrictions and book services for ineligible clients.

Set an age restriction

To set an age restriction for a service:

  1. Open the App Drawer then click View All > Setup > Services.

  2. Under Services, select Appointments, Classes, Events, or Book-a-Spot.

  3. Select a service to edit or create a new one.

  4. Under Age Restrictions, select Restricted to certain ages.

  5. Under Age Restriction Options, select a Minimum Age, Maximum Age, or Age Range. If your business has month and year age restrictions turned on, a Months field appears next to the Years field so you can set an age like 1 year 6 months.

    • Optional: Services with age restrictions can be hidden from ineligible clients by setting the Display service to clients who do not meet the age requirement option to OFF. This will also require clients to sign in to their accounts to view the service.

  6. Click Save.
