You can create a Book-a-Spot asset that can be booked independently from a service, or reserved as part of a scheduled class, appointment, or event.
Before you can create a bookable asset within WellnessLiving, you must first create an asset category. Asset categories are groups of assets that can be booked. Within each asset category, you can also create an asset layout.

Set up and use off-site location assets
If your business runs services at locations outside your main studio — such as a school gym, park, partner studio, or client's home — off-site location assets let you attach a specific venue name and address to individual sessions. This ensures clients always see exactly where to go, preventing confusion and missed sessions.
For example, a dance studio franchise that runs Saturday classes at a local school can assign that school as an off-site location asset. Clients who book that class will see the school's address in their confirmation email and reminder, not the studio address.
Revenue, payroll, and commissions always remain attributed to your main business location. Off-site locations are lightweight venue records only and do not affect your billing or subscription.
Key tips
Give each off-site venue a clear, recognizable name so staff can identify it quickly when scheduling.
Off-site location assets inherit the time zone of the parent location. There is no separate time zone setting per venue.
Set up an off-site location asset
To set up an off-site location asset:
Open the App Drawer
then click View All > Setup > Services > Assets.
Click Add category.
In the list, select Off-site location.
Fields used for bookable assets (such as capacity and layout) are not available for off-site location assets. The type cannot be changed after the asset is created.
Under Name, enter a name for the category.
Click Add Asset.
Fill in the required fields for the asset. For more information about each field, see Book-a-Spot asset settings.
Click Save.
How off-site locations appear to clients
When a session has an off-site location asset assigned and is reserved for the entire class, event, or appointment, clients see the venue name and address in place of your studio location everywhere they book, including the schedule, session details, checkout, confirmation screen (including the Get Directions button), and calendar invite. Off-site locations also appear as a separate, labeled option in the Location filter. If the asset is reserved individually per client instead, the studio location displays as usual.
How off-site locations appear in client notifications
When a session has an off-site location asset assigned, the [Location] variable in notification templates resolves to the asset's name and address instead of your regular studio location. Clients won't see both addresses; the off-site venue fully replaces the regular location in client-facing notifications for that session.
This applies to booking confirmations, reminders, cancellation notices, and other automated notifications for classes, events, and appointments.
Off-site locations in Enterprise accounts
If you manage a franchise or multi-location enterprise account, off-site location assets created across your locations appear in the Enterprise Locations table under Enterprise settings. If no off-site locations have been created, the table shows an empty state for that section.
